Two Words. Forever Changed.

This blog post was written by the beautiful Jennifer Jaetzold. Jenniferย is an advocate and avid fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She, along with her husband, gave rise to and continue to chair Touch A Truck DFW. Touch A Truck, DFWย is an exciting event that enables families in our community to enjoy an affordable and unique opportunity to see, touch, climb on and safely explore trucks, machinery, helicopters, and numerous other unique vehicles, as well as meet the incredible men and women who protect, serve, and build the DFW community.

Touch A Truck, DFW In its 4thyear, Touch A Truck DFW has already established itself as one of the โ€œmust attendโ€ events on the Fall DFW Activity Calendar.ย  Please come join us on Sunday, October 7, 2018 in North Richland Hills at the Birdville ISD Football Stadium from 10:00am-3:00pm. For more information about the event and updates on vehicles participating, please take a look at and โ€œlikeโ€ our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/touchatruckdfw

Jennifer brought the Touch A Truck event to Dallas/Fort Worth with the intention of raising funds and awareness for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and their mission to find a cure for all individuals battling this devastating disease. Funds raised support the hope and forthcoming reality that CF will become an easily manageable disease without the complications that we currently battle. We hope to see you Sunday, October 7th!

Cystic Fibrosis. Those two words forever changed my life 10 years ago. Our daughter was diagnosed with this life threatening genetic disease at just 6 weeks old. I will never forget the day that I received confirmation that our daughter had CF โ€ฆ I just held her so tight while tears streamed down my face. I kissed her precious forehead and boldly told the world, โ€œWe will be ok, we are going to thrive and Mom/Dad will tirelessly fight to cure CF.โ€ Those words echoed from my heart that morning and have continued to resound and define our daily battle to both maintain health and find a cure.ย ย  From day one, my husband and I became heavily involved in both her daily care and in advocating and fundraising for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. After years of involvement, we both came to the realization that we needed and wanted to do more! We were convinced our efforts could reach a broader audience. We now had 3 children and our middle son had also been diagnosed with CF. ย Research at the CF Foundation was moving at unprecedented rate, and our passion to continue to fuel the CF drug pipeline was uncontainable. Touch A Truck, DFW was a product of our desire to create a community event that would bring DFW families together in a fun, unique atmosphere, while, at the same time, raising money to continue to fuel the rapid progress being made.ย Since its inception in 2015, the DFW community has rallied and supported our event, and the growth and excitement has been both humbling and exhilarating.ย  In the past 3 years, Touch A Truck has raised over $60,000, and we are confident we can exponentially grow that figure with each passing year.

To the DFW community, THANK YOU for supporting Touch A Truck DFW, and THANK YOU for adding tomorrows, every day, to the lives of those living with CF. You are truly making a difference and a direct impact!

We would love for you to join us for our 4thAnnual Touch a Truck in North Richland Hills at the Birdville ISD football stadium on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 10:00am-3:00pm.ย  For more information about the event and updates on vehicles participating, please take a look at and โ€œlikeโ€ our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/touchatruckdfw
